Dear friends,  parents and young people,

We would like to invite you to join our fifth annual Family Retreat to be held at AIAB - Loutis Pond Temple, Ngong Ping Village, Lantau Island from 17 to 20 July, 2014.  How wonderful it is to see parents and children practice together, be present for each other, allow good seeds like compassion, understanding and peace ... to ake up and slowly sprout and grow.

"I believe that children are our future

Teach them well and let them lead the way

show them all the beauty they possess inside

Let the children's laughters remind us how we used to be ..."

(from "The Greatest Love Of All" song)

We all make plans for the future, and yet we often lose ourselves in anxieties about it.  By coming back to live deeply and beautifully the present moment, we have already opened an upward parth for a bright future to be possible.

We would like to pass this message from our teacher, Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, to everyone so that we can keep this awareness in mind:

"The direction in which tomorrow's world will go and whether my descendants will have a chance to live happily and freely or not depends on how I live the present moment."

The mountaints, the forests, the flowers, the clouds, the streams, the ocean and all of us are awaiting your arrival ...
