Notes:
1. Sangha's members can submit names of relatives and friends to receive the merit of this ceremony. In China and Vietnam, this ceremony is often carried out on the 1st and the 14th day of each lunar month, to offer peace and fearlessness for those who are sick or facing difficulties, and offer well-being to them and their loved ones. The Sutra "The Strength of Avalokiteshvara" and the discourse "Turning to the Tathagata" are recited in this ceremony.
